The main aim of the project is to enlighten participants and the whole local community about the role of cultural and historical identity that allows to find our identity in the modern world but without closing ourselves on other people, culture, religions. All participants will be aware of the influence of the historical past and cultural heritage of the partner countries on the contemporary social, economical and cultural processes taking place in them. The implementation of the project includes working on variety of activities that will provoke students to find more about their common history and culture in dimension not only of the country but also of the ordinary citizens. They will use their creativity in presenting the history of their regions and the historical events that marked their countries. They will go back in time and find out more about the traditional craft, clothing and musical instrument and they will find their roots through making genealogical trees of their families. Our students will have the opportunity to meet people from the other countries and learn about their past and compare life conditions in different parts of Europe, in different days and places. It will help the students to develop their knowledge and broaden their minds. The partnership will affect a wide range of curricula areas allowing the staff to exchange ideas about teaching history and will give opportunities for planning future events. Although Europe is our common homeland, history and culture of particular participant of the project are different. Each country had its own impact on common tradition because each country has its own history, which determines our point of view. It often causes prejudice and xenophobia. In our project we want to be open for each other, overcome stereotypes and find own roots. At the same time we want to learn about history of other countries and connections between them. We hope that our cooperation will help us find immigrants' lost identity, understand the other people and accept dissimilarity. We want to show how to teach history in an interesting way. We will make history in classroom a wonderful back in time travel to help our students understand the present and find importance and place for creating the common future. If history is badly thought, it can awaken demons of prejudice and aversion. Each partner will show one of the creative methods of teaching history. One of the most important matter to prepare our project is the age of our students - 13-16. There is the moment when the young people start to look for their roots, nationality and culture identity.
